Season 2 of White Collar premiered on August 25, 2011, on the USA Network. Matt Bomer and Tim deKay returned for season 2 while Willie Garson reprised his role as Mozzie. Season two introduced Brian Markinson as Neal's father, John Caffrey, and Ryan Cartwright as Neal's brother, Neal Caffrey Jr. The second season picks up directly after Neal's first arrest, which occurred at the end of the first season. This season Neal struggles with the consequences of a life of crime. He finally has to reckon with a past that he never wanted to remember while also dealing with an FBI agent who doesn't appreciate Neal's playboy lifestyle. Season two also introduces John's new wife, Barbara, and her son, Simon. The season also introduces Robert Redford as the wily and cunning FBI agent, Jeremiah Eames, who has designs on Neal.
Season 3 of White Collar premiered on October 11, 2012. Tim deKay and Willie Garson returned for season 3, along with Josh Lawson as Neal's brother and FBI agent Neal, season 2. Season 3 is set four years after Neal's second arrest, and four years before the start of season 2. Season 3 also introduces FBI Special Agent Alex Forrest, as well as Neal and Mozzie's cousins, Neal Caffrey III and Mozzie's sister, Alyssa. Other new characters include Barbara and Simon Caffrey's son and Neal's nephew, as well as Neal's old acquaintance, Garrett, who is now a security consultant. Season 3 also introduces Marc John Jefferies as Neal's former college roommate, Jack, and Caroline Dhavernas as FBI agent Sara Ellis. Additional supporting cast members include Dr. Peter Dunlop and Sarah Clarke.

The series has become a success on DVD, with the first season having a total of eight DVDs and the second and third seasons being released in June 2010.
