As the squad follows Tucker and Caboose into a huge cavern, the group is ambushed by two of Spectres and one of Zealots, before being saved by a Warthog arriving on the scene. The Warthog leaves and takes off. The group then encounters a bridge to the next cavern, where they spot some Covenant and their own Warthog. At this point, the squad takes cover behind a large rock and engages the Covenant.
After some time, the group is joined by the others and joins the war. They then proceed to a bridge which is guarded by a female Promethean. The team attempts to attack with their M33s, but fails to pierce her defenses.
Caboose has also been seen to kill enemies such as the Cybermen in the past, although he did it after they killed their ally. He also killed the first Red that appeared in Season 3, although he saved Tucker in the past. He has also killed the Crota Red, a character that was introduced in Halo: Reach. Caboose has also killed several of the same character in various contexts, such as killing the same Red in both the past and the present in Season 2 and killing the same Red twice in Season 9: Chapter 4 and Season 15. However, he has saved his allies as well, making him an unusual character who tends to kill less than he saves. He has also killed several characters that are or appeared to be the same, such as killing the Future Soldier in Reconstruction: Chapter 2 and killing a Cyberman in Season 13: Episode 1. In Season 5: Chapter 1, Caboose is seen to save the same Clara in an alternate version of his time. Later in Season 8: Episode 4, Caboose has one of the most graphic and gruesome kill scenes in the show, as he hacks off the hands of his enemy the Corrupter in a cybernetic arm.
