Microsoft offers a Windows 10 trial for 90 days. You can take this opportunity to try Tourwriter on your Mac through both the Parallels and Windows trial versions. You need to register at Microsoft to download Windows 10.
Parallels will automatically search out the Windows install image on the Select Installation Image window. If it finds the Windows 10 .VHDX file that you downloaded in Step 3, click Continue. Otherwise, click the Choose Manually button.
If you don't already have virtual machine software on your Mac, you can download Oracle's VirtualBox. It's a virtualization tool just like Fusion and Parallels, but it has the virtue of being free. There are trial versions of Parallels Desktop and VMware Fusion which won't make you pay a fee for a two weeks or one month, respectively, so you're welcome to try those out if you prefer. But if you never want to pay a fee, check out VirtualBox.
After you have virtualization software, you'll need to download an ISO image of the Windows 10 technical preview. The ISO image is, for all intents and purposes, an exact copy of a physical Windows installation disc. You get this image from Microsoft itself by downloading it directly (opens in new tab).
When you finish creating your virtual machine, you'll be prompted with the following: "Please select a virtual optical disk file or a physical optical disk to start your new virtual machine from." Click on the folder icon to bring up a file browser which you can use to locate the Windows Technical Preview ISO file you downloaded.
Note, this installation requires a Windows 10 install ISO. Windows 10 is available to current students for free via Microsoft Azure. Please see this page if you have not yet downloaded the Windows ISO: InterPro - Online Learning - InterPro Credit Learners - How to Download Windows 11 Education via Microsoft Azure Dev Tools for Teaching
I was almost charged $80 for an annual subscription because I couldn't find out where to cancel the trial. On the Official Parallels website, my trial doesn't appear under, View My Parallel Products. Although I downloaded Parallels from the Microsoft App Store, I can only uninstall software, not cancel a subscription from there. You have to navigate to iTunes Music and then navigate to the iTunes Store and finally find the subscription section and cancel. You should have the ability to manage a subscription from the application or even your website, not a COMPLETELY different application I didn't even touch to download the product. Unless Parallels releases an album I shouldn't have to open iTunes to manage it LOL.
To run Windows 10 on your 13-inch MacBook Pro (M1, 2020), Mac mini (2020), MacBook Air (2020), or 24-inch iMac (2021), you must download and install Parallels Desktop 16 for Mac. Eventually, you must buy this software. However, new users can download a free trial. This version of Parallels is compatible with Apple silicon and Intel-based Macs. Install your copy of Parallels Desktop 16 for Mac on your macOS device.
You can download the Parallels 16 Desktop for Mac app from the Parallels website. A new license is $80/year for the standard edition and $100/year for the professional edition. Upgrade prices are $50 and $100/year, respectively.

After that, double-click the downloaded .dmg file, then double-click on Install Parallels Desktop in the window that opens and then select Open if your admin confirmation is required to continue.
For Intel Macs: Go to this Microsoft page, select and confirm the selected Windows 10 edition (we recommend picking the Home edition) and language, then click the 64-bit Download button, and download the Windows 10 ISO file on your Mac.

Warzone 2.0 is not compatible with ARM based devices. I went ahead and purchased a Mac mini M1, purchased parallels, dled windows 11 ARM and when I went to dl warzone 2.0 for free on battle.net and/or steam, they both said warzone 2.0 was not compatible with ARM devices. Unfortunately you HAVE to dl the ARM version of window s 10/11 for the M1 platform on Mac mini. Previous warzone worked fine with this process but the new 2.0 does not. Is there a work around?
You should at least checkout VirtualBox ( ) it is free and opensource and runs great on my Ubuntu box. They have a OSX version and a Windows version. It was a proprietary solution that went opensource a few months ago. I have been using VMWare for about six years on Windows, but since moving to Linux have found VirtualBox to be a better product on Linux than VMWare.
Although Ive never used Fusion, my previous experiences with VMWare really didnt leave a good taste in my mouth. Parallels has been running fine for the most part. Only occasionally have issues with coherence mode, which I can live with out. Other than that. an occasional freeze of the VM when coming out of standby related to coherence. If windowed, runs fine. 2b1af7f3a8
